This year’s Upper School Spring Convocation took place on May 2, 2025 in the Collegiate School Auditorium. Head of School Bodie Brizendine shared opening remarks, which was followed by a piano performance of “Incognito” by Jason Sifford, played by Toby C. ’26.
Keita S. '25 introduced the day’s featured speaker, Jonathan Steinberg '95. Best known for his contributions to the technology and media landscapes, Jon has played a key role in the success of major companies such as Buzzfeed, Future Plc, and Cheddar News, which he founded. He spoke to students about his time at Collegiate and his love for the School. Additionally, Jon shared some advice about his professional journey since graduating from Collegiate, “I believe in taking lots of shots on net until your sheer perseverance lands an inevitable goal. If you shoot enough, something will go in.” The convocation concluded with the singing of the Alma Mater.
