Why Give to Collegiate School?

To maintain its commitment to excellence in education, Collegiate depends on several fundraising efforts. We welcome your participation and invite gifts to general operating funds or directed towards specific initiatives as outlined below. A contribution of any amount is greatly appreciated and is an expression of support for the ongoing work of the School, our faculty and staff, and our boys.

Collegiate School is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit educational organization, and donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Areas of Support

Annual Fund

Each fall, we launch the Annual Fund, an appeal to the entire Collegiate community for contributions that supplement the School’s yearly operating budget. Tuition covers only a part of the cost of educating each student at Collegiate; endowment income and unrestricted Annual Fund support make up the difference.

Benefit

Each spring, the School, in conjunction with the Parents Association, holds a fundraising Benefit. 100% of the proceeds raised from this event directly supports the School’s financial aid program, allowing Collegiate to remain accessible to families regardless of their socio-economic status. This event displays the warmth and vitality of Collegiate by bringing together various members of the community, including parents, past parents, and alumni.

Endowment Funds

Collegiate’s endowment includes funds that support financial aid, faculty salaries, named lecture series, advancements in technologies, and faculty professional development, to name just a few. Your gift to Collegiate’s endowment will be invested in the endowment, adding to its principal, and the income generated will be directed towards the designated purpose. Find out if your employer or former employer will match your charitable gift at www.collegiateschool.org/support/matching-gifts. If you and/or your spouse work for a firm that has a matching gift program, please obtain the appropriate gift form from your Human Resources office and return it with your gift to the School. Planned Giving

Including Collegiate in your estate planning helps to make the School’s future and the perpetuation of its ideals more certain. Those in the Collegiate community who have remembered the School when making testamentary arrangements become members of The Wilson Parkhill Society.
