Sports Health Services

The health and safety of Collegiate athletes is of the utmost importance, and the Sports Health Services staff assists all students in the care of their athletic injuries. Currently, there are two New York State Licensed and board certified athletic trainers (ATCs) at Collegiate who provide injury evaluations, treatment, and rehabilitation during the athletic seasons.

Athletic Trainers are Allied Health Professionals

Collegiate’s athletic trainers presence has a positive impact on athletes' health and wellbeing before and after an injury occurs. As a part of the health care team, services provided by athletic trainers include primary care, injury and illness treatment and prevention, wellness promotion and education, emergent care, examination and clinical diagnosis, therapeutic intervention, and rehabilitation of injuries and medical conditions.
