The start of a school year is always exciting and the 2022-2023 school year was no exception. On September 22, 2022, Collegiate held its Fall Convocation in the Solomon Gymnasium to celebrate the beginning of the School’s 395th year. The Class of 2023 processed into the gym to begin their final year at Collegiate. Students in grades 4 through 12 participated in the program which included singing “America the Beautiful” and “Alma Mater.” Faculty members Dr. Monica Beneyto-Santaonja, Chair of the Science Department and Upper School Science Teacher and Dr. Thomas Jundt, Chair of the History Department and Upper School History Teacher addressed students. Tom Liu ‘25 performed Franz Liszt’s “Appassionata.” Fall Convocation is a beloved tradition that welcomes students to contemplate the year ahead and brings the community together to think about the School’s past and future.
